Deleting fslogix ODFC container breaks OneDrive silent/auto sign in

Hello everyone

I am an IT technician for a customer and we got a strange issue;

If we delete/rename the fslogix ODFC container (but not the profile container) then OneDrive no longer does a silent/auto sign in.

We have to delete both profiles for the sign in to work correctly again.

Any ideas as to what is causing this behavior?

It's basically saying "your "blablabla" folder cannot by synchronized".

    Hello,

    ODFC container stores user-specific data, including user credentials, which are required for OneDrive to sign in automatically.

    When this container is deleted or renamed, OneDrive loses access to this data, causing the sign-in issue.

    To resolve this issue, you may need to recreate the ODFC container and ensure that it is properly configured to store user data. Configure ODFC containers tutorial - FSLogix | Microsoft Learn

    A default ODFC container configuration includes the following data:

    • Office Activation
    • Outlook
    • Outlook personalization
    • SharePoint
    • OneDrive
    • Skype for Business (legacy support)

    I hope this information helps.

    Best regards,
