Improving performance and responsiveness of Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Youtube live chat in ms Edge take around 20~ seconds to load while other browser just took less than 1 second to load. I have tried clear cache and cookies, restart computer, and router but the problem still there.
I'm not sure is this is show that live chat is loading or not but when this one appears in network tab, Live chat will appear.

I found a "temporary" solution for this problem.
Press f12 / inspect on youtube =>Go to Applicaiton tab on the top => Go to Service Workers on the left menu => Click Unregister on the right side
But you have to do it again when you re open the browser. Microsoft need to fix this bug
I've go absolutely the same problem.
YouTube live chat loads for 20-70 seconds.
It started about 1-2 months ago after Youtube changed its design and I tried to find out the reason, but no one wrote about this problem. So i found this ticket here today.
I've sent feedback from the Edge browser, I hope it will be fixed asap.
It definitely only happens recently. It also happens when I resize the window, it would black out before loading.
And it could take like a minute to load sometimes.
I accidentally may have fixed it in Opera. If you go into developer tools, on the top panel find "Lighthouse".
You will see a button that says "Analyze page load".
Some radio buttons, I checked:
I clicked the button that said "Analyze page load". It does whatever it does, and now all of a sudden, my live chat loads immediately. I have no idea why, or if it's just coincidence, but worth a shot!
Hello, nitikosutao
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
Developers might optimize their websites for certain browsers. In this case, since YouTube is owned by Google, it’s possible that YouTube’s live chat feature is more optimized for Chrome, which could potentially result in faster loading times on Chrome compared to other browsers.
That being said, this doesn’t mean that other browsers can’t load YouTube efficiently. If you’re experiencing slow loading times on Microsoft Edge, it could also be due to various factors such as browser settings, extensions, or even network conditions, rather than just the relationship between YouTube and Chrome. It’s always a good idea to keep your browser up-to-date and check if any extensions or settings are affecting the loading times.
Resetting the browser settings to their default values might help as well. To do this, open Edge and click the 3 dots at the upper right side of your screen > Settings > Reset Settings > Restore settings to their default values.
In addition, some software on your computer, like security software, can interfere with your browser’s network requests. Try disabling these temporarily to see if they’re causing the issue. Remember to turn them on later, so as to keep your computer safe.
If none of the above solutions work, submit feedback to the developers in Microsoft Edge:
