Improving performance and responsiveness of Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hello,
All chromium browsers (Edge Chromium, Chrome and Brave) on my PC are super slow all of a sudden after reboot/update. I reinstalled windows (Keeping my files and Apps) and that did not help. I did everything in this post:
That also did not work. All help is truly appreciated.
I tried many more things, nothing helped. I Have removed all firewalls/antivirus. Now moved only to defender. Is there a defender setting for chromium and not for the browsers that are based on chromium?
Thanks

Firefox works just fine. I think you did not read my question well. I said ALL Chromium browsers are not working. Or are super slow. So, it is not a network issue, I not only reset all settings, I reinstalled chrome as well. Microsoft Edge also does not work.
Hi!
Did you find a solution?
I have exactly the same problem.
Unboxed a lenovo x13 and all chromium based browsers are EXTREMELY slow, such as edge, chrome, opera.
Firefox works great, direct network connections work great. Simple test, use ookla with chromium, very bad. Firefox or ookla app, great.
On brand new lenovo win 11 setup and native Microsoft win 11 setup (with network driver only).
This renders all chromium based browsers UNUSABLE!
What is the network card you're using? Is it an AX211? I have two other lenovo that work great. I have no clue what is going on here.
Cheers!

Hello PBLearner.
You can also use the software SpeedyFox to optimize for the Chromium browser.

You can try downloading the Microsoft Edge Beta version to use it.
The Microsoft Edge Beta version can be used with the same Microsoft account and is independent of the official version.
If the lag persists, I think it may be an issue with your computer.
I look forward to your feedback and will keep an eye on your situation.
Hello and welcome to Microsoft Community!
I am very frustrated that your Chrome browser is working slowly, but I can't pinpoint your specific situation, whether it's an inability to open a web page, or a slow response.
You can try to check if your network environment is abnormal, a poor network may also cause the browser to work slowly.
After confirming that your network is fine, you can reset your Chrome settings or go to the Google Chrome website to re-download and install the latest version of Chrome.
If the browser still works slowly after resetting or reinstalling, you can download Google Chrome for Windows Beta, which is a separate Beta from Chrome, and observe whether it lags or not.
Since you have already reinstalled Windows, I don't think your machine is causing the problem, if the lagging still persists, I suggest you contact Google's related technical support, they will provide a better solution.
I hope you're well.
Best Regards!
