Improving performance and responsiveness of Edge on older Windows versions

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
On the Xbox version of Microsoft edge I open one tab and I'm trying it to do something that requires me to open another and it will read what happens in the other tab. but then after 5 seconds of not being on that previous tab it closes it and it completely resets everything. it has been doing this for what feels like years and I cannot figure out why. there is no setting on Xbox to turn sleeping tabs off. it is extremely annoying and I'm not sure why. even though the new series X is better than majority of PCs these days, it still can't handle more than 4 tabs being open which is extremely annoying because I need those tabs.

Dear The Giant Enemy Spider
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.
The Xbox version of Edge is not a full functional browser, in part for security reasons, and has limited resources including RAM available to it. It is intended mostly for viewing product pages, not for web browsing or using with third-party websites
You need to use a fully functional web browser on a desktop or mobile device.
