Hello Tyler. I believe the issue due to how YouTube’s Content ID system works. Even though Clipchamp provides royalty-free music like the track Ice TeaYouTube may still flag it if someone else has uploaded a version of that song and registered it as their own. This doesn’t mean you’ve done anything wrong, but it does mean you’ll need to dispute the claim to clear your video.
Here’s what you should do below:
- In Clipchamp, find the exact name of the track you used.
- Search for that track on Storyblocks Clipchamp’s stock media partner.
Copy the Storyblocks URL for that track.
Go to YouTube Studio → Copyright section → click Dispute on the flagged video.
In your dispute, explain that the track is licensed via Clipchamp and provide the Storyblocks link as proof.
Microsoft confirms this process in their official guide on Clipchamp copyright claims. You’re allowed to use the music in your videos, but YouTube doesn’t automatically recognize your license so you have to manually prove it.
