Hi cmojeda,
Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.
I’ve looked at your questions, and here are my answers in the same order:
- If you don’t want students to have read access to their last year class, you could consider removing them from Teams before/after archiving.
- Yes, students and Teachers will have only read access to class team contents. Archiving a team removes the team from your “Active Teams” list and freezes team activity. All content associated with the team will still be saved, and you will be able to access it at any time. This includes files, conversations, grades, and assignments that you can re-use later.
- When you archive Team, All content associated with the team will still be saved, and you will be able to access it at any time. This includes files, conversations, grades, and assignments that you can re-use later.
If you remove the student from class, they will not have access to Team contents, including assignments and a class notebook.
However, you can add them later to gain access to their resources.
