Disabling response options in the meeting options does not stop folk replying to the email and flooding over 1000 inboxes! We don't need an email response so how do we stop this being an option?

    Dear Michaela Pickard,

    Sorry for my late reply!

The Request response option is designed for below purpose. For instance, upon tests on my end, if you create a meeting with Request response option off, the attendee still can RSVP to the invitation but will not send a response message.

However, it isn't feasible to avoid attendees from using the basic composing options (such as reply, reply all and forward) on meeting invitation messages.

Meanwhile, if you rely on this feature heavily, you can submit your valuable feedback directly to Microsoft product development team by either go to Help from your dedicated App > submit Feedback or by posting on Ideas · Community (microsoft.com) for feature requests.

This community team and Microsoft product development team are separate. So for feature’s suggestion or by design query, user need to submit feedback from their side to Microsoft product team. Once user send feedback via above mentioned way, it’s sent to Microsoft directly and it's routed to the relevant product teams who can review it.

To check more details about how to submit feedback, kindly refer this article Learn about how to provide feedback to Microsoft - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation. I wish you all the best!

Thank you. Unchecking the request response option doesn't work unfortunately, I thought I had found the answer to my issue until a colleague responded to my trial calendar invite via the email! The 3 dots are still available with the reply and reply all options.

With regards to receiving the responses, all of them coming to me isn't a problem, it's that they go to everyone on the channel and then that generates responses from others. You can imagine this in a team of 1000+, it's taken days for my wee team of 5 to go through them all. I'm looking to have the ability to reply/respond to the email taken away completely. Does that make sense?

    Dear Nick Byrd PhD

    Greetings!

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community!

Based on your description, I understand your query about how to stop recipients responding to the email generated by a calendar invite.

To do this, when scheduling meetings in Teams, please kindly find Response options in tab and then untick Request responses like in below screenshot.

Meanwhile, you may also try to create a rule to automatically move event response messages to one specific folder. Please kindly follow below steps to create a server-side rule for your account via Outlook on the web.

    1. Sign into Outlook on the web.
    2. Go to Settings (Gear icon at top right) > Mail > Rules > Add new Rule
    3. Add the Conditon and Action like below screenshot. (You may also choose another action if you want to.)
    4. Click Save. (To make the rule possess existing meeting invitations, tick Run rule now before Save.) For more instructions, please kindly refer to Use inbox rules in Outlook.com or Outlook on the web - Microsoft Support.

Please feel free to get back to us if I misunderstand you. Thank you in advance for your understanding! Your patience and cooperation will be greatly appreciated. I hope all the best!
