    Hello Fiona Morrison

Good day and thanks for contacting Microsoft community support.

Based on the information provided, it appears you have to pay for windows products. Please keep in mind when purchasing a new MSI gaming computer, it's common to encounter situations where additional costs are associated with Windows products, even after acquiring the hardware.

While your MSI computer may come pre-installed with Windows, new Windows devices usually include a license fee which is a part of the total cost of the computer. This license often covers the operating system itself, and additional software may require separate purchases or subscriptions.

Unlike Android where a wide range of free applications is readily accessible, the Windows environment often includes premium software options. Many popular applications on Windows require payment for access beyond a trial period, unlike the often free apps available on Android. Although there can be free alternatives on Windows, powerful software and specialized applications—like Microsoft Office—are typically offered as paid versions.

To better assist you, we need more information on the issue.

    1. Can you specify which Windows products or software you're being asked to pay for? Are you referring to Windows itself, or specific apps and services?
    2. What version of Windows is installed on your MSI gaming computer? Was it a pre-installed version, and if so, do you know if it came with a license or trial period?
    3. Are you using a Microsoft account to sign in? Some services require a subscription or payment, and knowing if you’re signed in might help determine which services are being prompted for payment.
    4. Can you provide details on your MSI gaming computer’s specifications and any pre-installed software? This might help in identifying any trial or subscription-based applications.

Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance with the issue. Awaiting your valuable response.

    Sincerely,

    Bertrand
