    Hello

I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.

To change your background to a custom image in Microsoft Teams, you can follow these steps:

    1. Join your meeting with your camera off.
    2. On the panel that's on top of your Microsoft Teams tab, you'll find three dots next to the "Raise your hand/Reactions" option. Click the dots. It will open a dropdown menu.
    3. Click on "Apply background effects". This will open a sub-page at the side of your meeting tab.
    4. To use an image of your own, select "Add new" and then select one to upload from your computer. Make sure it's a .JPG, .PNG, or .BMP file.
    5. Click on "Preview" to see how your chosen background looks before you apply it.
    6. Finally, turn your video on.

Please note that if you don't see the option to apply background effects, your device or the Teams app might not be updated. Make sure to update it to the latest version.

    I hope this helps

    It should be there.

If it is not there, your app could have run into some issues. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve such issues:

    1. Update Microsoft Teams: Make sure you're using the latest version of Microsoft Teams. You can do this by clicking on your profile picture in the top-right corner, selecting "Check for updates", and following the prompts
    2. Clear your cache: You can try clearing your Teams desktop app cache. To do this, sign out of Teams, quit Microsoft Teams by right-clicking the icon and selecting "Quit", then launch the File Explorer in Windows and add this location in the address/URL bar and press Enter: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams. Delete the contents of the entire folder, then restart Microsoft Teams and sign in
    3. Manually add the image: If the "Add new" option is still not showing, you can try to manually put the picture in the following location and see if it will appear on the list of your available backgrounds: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads
    4. Use the web app: If you're still having trouble, you could try using the Teams web app. To access it, go to https://teams.microsoft.com and use the "Use the web app instead" option to open Teams in a browser

    Regards Adeyemi
