When I tried to use a stored payment method in the Edge browser on my Android phone I kept getting this message even after giving the approval with the correct number in the Authenticator app. Then it had me change my password and it still didn't work. This happened twice today while trying to shop. I did not use the password part of Authenticator, but I do see that there are passwords stored there that are also in my wallet app. This is not happening on my PC just the Edge browser on my Android phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 connected to my computer with the Phonelink app. This just started happening today.

Please try to clear the cache and data of the Edge browser App on your Phone.
Open your phone Settings > Swipe to and tap Apps > Select the Edge browser App > Tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache. Try to sign in again.
If you still have the same issue, uninstall your Edge Browser app, then restart your device. Install the Edge browser app and try to sign in.
