You can login to teams.microsoft.com using the same Microsoft account as you used to login to skype.

Fix my Skype account so I can Transit to a teams account
Dear Microsoft,
You’ve disabled my longstanding, laptop residing, Skype account and made it impossible to transit to a Teams account.
Your customer service is nonresponsive or nonexistent. I’ve wasted enough time. I’ll always tell my friends to avoid Microsoft. You can keep my Skype credit you cheapskate criminals.
