This error meant that something has gone wrong during the execution of a request to a server. This error encompassed pretty much anything that communicate with a server (anything that needs a connection to work or authenticate a user). It could be server side, or it could be from the connection.
A simple troubleshoot for this issue could be to open CMD with the combination Win + R, then type in ipconfig/release & ipconfig/renew. Or restart your router, if this doesn't fix it, then it is a server issue.
