About increasing the number of private channels In single Team of MS team

At this time, while there are internal communications and planning documents that suggest this change is in progress, I’d like to kindly clarify that I’m responding in the capacity of a moderator and not an official spokesperson. Therefore, I’m unable to confirm any release timelines or final implementation details until they are publicly announced by Microsoft.

That said, based on what’s currently available internally: These changes are expected to roll out globally, including India, between late September and mid-December 2025. Compliance policies for private channels will also transition to team-level group mailboxes, which may require admin action before rollout.

Please treat this information as preliminary and for reference only, as it has not yet been officially published on public Microsoft channels. I recommend keeping an eye on the https://admin.microsoft.com and https://learn.microsoft.com for formal announcements.
