There is an ability to edit the question, but no ability to edit the comments. This would be quite helpful as well.

Do you mean if you edit a comment you want to discard it. ? In which case select to edit the comment and you can Save nd view the question or Cancel the edit.
No, I am talking about ability to edit to comment. If there is already such functionality I didn't see it.
In this thread https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/edit/5607297 there is no ability to fix comments. Also, every time I'm trying to correct the question itself, I am getting the 'No authorized' message
When I select your link the original question is in edit mode and waiting for saving or cancel. Is that the same for you? If I save it for you see if the options for Edit are now available.

the edit has been removed and if you want to edit any answer or comment then select the 3 vertical dots.
