Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

In addition to the Q&A Assist AI response, even though the sync is turned on and active but the passwords haven’t been restored yet, you can click Re-sync now on the Sync Settings page for that particular device to manually re-sync the data.

If your passwords in Microsoft Edge are missing and you did not delete them yourself, there are a few steps you can take to try to recover them:

    1. Check Sync Settings: If you were signed in to Microsoft Edge and had syncing enabled, your passwords may still be stored on Microsoft servers. You can check your sync settings by going to edge://settings/profiles/sync and ensuring that the Basic info toggle is turned on.
    2. Check Saved Passwords: Go to edge://settings/passwords to see if your passwords are still listed there. Sometimes, they may not be visible due to a glitch or issue with the browser.
    3. Password Monitor: If you had the Password Monitor feature enabled, it could help you identify if your credentials were exposed in a data breach, which might explain their disappearance. You can manage this feature at edge://passwords.
    4. Restore from Backup: If you have a backup of your system or user profile, you may be able to restore your passwords from there. This would depend on your backup solution.
    5. Check Other Browsers: If you have used other browsers, check if your passwords were saved there or if you have a password manager that might have stored them.

If none of these steps help, it may be difficult to recover the passwords directly from Edge without a backup or sync option enabled.
