Greetings

I have just had my first Teams meeting. Totally unsuccessful due to no sound/audio on my end. Believe me i have tried everything............but that is not enough clearly.

My friend in Colorado could hear everything.

There is no option for Make a test call feature at all in Teams.

My computer is brand new. Teams was installed with brand new software. When I used Skype I always did a test run prior. Now there is no way I can see to do this.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

To better understand the issue, we would like to know the following information:

    1. Are you able to hear sound from other apps on your computer, such as YouTube or music players?
    2. In Teams, under Settings > Devices, which speaker and microphone are currently selected?
    3. Are you using the Teams desktop app or the web version, and does the issue happen on both?

It sounds like you're experiencing audio issues during your Teams meeting. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Audio Settings in Teams: Ensure that your audio devices are correctly set up in Microsoft Teams. Go to your profile picture at the top right, select Settings, then Devices. Make sure the correct microphone and speaker are selected.
    2. Restart Core Audio Process: If you're using macOS, you might need to restart the coreaudiod process. You can do this by opening Terminal and running the command sudo killall coreaudiod. If you don't have administrator privileges, simply restart your macOS device.
    3. Test Call Feature: While you mentioned not seeing the test call feature, this feature is typically available for testing your microphone and speakers. If it's not visible, ensure your Teams app is updated to the latest version.
    4. Check for Updates: Make sure your Teams application is up to date. Sometimes, audio issues can be resolved by simply updating the software.
    5. Reinstall Teams: If the problem persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling Microsoft Teams to ensure a clean installation.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, you may want to consult the troubleshooting resources available for Microsoft Teams voice issues.
