Time it takes for advertising to be delivered

Hello, We have been advertising on the Microsoft platform for several years. It has always been the case that when an account already had ad delivery, ad delivery in a new advertising campaign would start within 1-15 minutes. However, in the last month, regardless of how much the account spent and whether the keywords and text had already been used in ad delivery on that account, a new advertising campaign is delivered to the ad results in at least a day. Why is this happening, and will fast ad delivery return?

    Hello Anna Millers,

Thank you for using our Microsoft Advertising Learn Q&A Platform!

I understand that you would like your newly created ads to go live on our advertising network as quickly as possible. However, this is not feasible, as all new campaigns and ads must first undergo a mandatory review process in accordance with our Microsoft Advertising Network policies.

All elements of your advertisements—including ad text, assets, keywords, ad extensions, and ad customizers—must undergo on our system / editorial review. This review serves as a quality check to ensure that your ads are appropriate for potential customers. Once you submit any component, it first goes through an initial evaluation to confirm compliance with Microsoft Advertising policies. If no issues are identified, the component will pass the review and become active.

If a component does not pass the initial review, it will be routed for an additional, more detailed review. This secondary review may take several hours, depending on current review volume. A number of factors may trigger this extended review, such as:

    • The presence of words that may have double meanings or could be interpreted as offensive in certain contexts.
    • The use of terms that are registered trademarks, which require verification for proper usage.
    • Keywords that are not present in the editorial database.

Most reviews are completed within 24 - 48 hours. Please be advised that the system also performs routine reviews of your existing campaigns and ads to ensure continued compliance with our advertising policies. This is especially important as our policies are periodically updated to keep pace with changes in the online advertising landscape.

To know more please see The editorial review.

Our support teams are pleased to engage in more in-depth discussions about your account through phone, chat, or email to offer review assistance, please see our support page to reach out!

I trust that the details shared here will partially address your inquiry. Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact our support. Additionally, I’ve sent you a private message requesting additional information. Please don’t hesitate to reply if you require further assistance.

    Kind regards,
