Update the students assigned to the existing assignment
- Open the affected assignment.
- Click the three‑dots (…) menu in the top‑right corner.
- Select Edit assignment.
- Under the assignment recipients, choose “All current and future students.”
- Click Update to save the changes.
Enable automatic assignment for new students
- Go to your Class Team.
- Open Assignments.
- Click the gear icon (Settings) in the upper‑right corner.
- Turn on “New students will receive assignments created before they joined the class.”
If the issue persists try remove the affected students from the class, wait a few minutes, then re‑add them. Then create a copy of the original assignment and assign it again to all students to see if they can access it.
Try all steps in Teams Web to rule out any sync issues related to the desktop or mobile app.
