I see. Is the ad different every time you open the browser or is it the same page?
Why is Edge showing Microsoft ads on launch?

Just launched Edge, first thing I see is an ad for a Microsoft tablet. Have never visited this page, and have no interest in this product.
How do I stop Microsoft Edge from showing Microsoft ads at launch?

My goal is just to disable ads.

Is Edge showing this automatically after you unlock your device or is this happening when you manually open Edge? If this is showing when you open Edge, it could be suggestions or promotions from Windows. You can try turning off these options shown in the image below in Settings > System > Notifications & actions and see if it helps.

I have the notifications disabled, but I don't think this is a notification. It's a tab that opens when I launch Edge, showing a Microsoft product that I can purchase. And there isn't a notification associated with launching Edge.
