    Hello Yan Ryan,

Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Q&A forum

I understand how frustrating it is when Copilot keeps asking for SharePoint even though you’re using a personal OneDrive link.

This happens because Copilot’s “Create a presentation” feature only accepts files stored in a Microsoft 365 organization’s SharePoint or OneDrive for Business. Personal OneDrive links (like 1drv.ms/w/...) are not supported, so Copilot misidentifies the link and shows the SharePoint warning.

For a personal Microsoft account, this feature unfortunately cannot read or convert files directly from OneDrive personal at the moment. To use it, the file must come from a work/school tenant, not a personal account.

You can upload the Word file manually into the prompt. In the Copilot window, click Upload file instead of pasting a link. This works even for personal accounts.

You can also try to convert documents to PowerPoint directly inside Word’s Copilot pane: Open Word > use Copilot inside Word (desktop or web)

    Thank you for your understanding
