It seems that you are experiencing issues with Microsoft Edge when trying to change your Lloyds Bank password. This could be related to security settings or compatibility issues within the Edge browser. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, cached data can cause issues with website functionality. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies.
    2. Check Security Settings: Ensure that your browser's security settings are not blocking any necessary scripts or cookies that the bank's website might need to function properly.
    3. Update Edge: Make sure that you are using the latest version of Microsoft Edge. An outdated browser can lead to compatibility issues with certain websites.
    4. Try InPrivate Mode: Open Edge in InPrivate mode (Ctrl + Shift + N) and try accessing the Lloyds Bank website again. This mode disables extensions and may help if an extension is causing the issue.
    5. Disable Extensions: If you have any extensions installed, try disabling them to see if one of them is interfering with the website.
    6. Reinstall Edge: If the problem persists, consider reinstalling Microsoft Edge. You can download the installer from the official Microsoft website and reinstall it to see if that resolves the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance, as there could be a specific compatibility issue with the Lloyds Bank website and Edge.

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how concerning it is that the Lloyds Bank website won’t let you complete the process in Microsoft Edge, even though it works fine in Google Chrome.

Security‑related errors can feel worrying, especially when your bank suggests that the issue may be on your browser side rather than theirs.

This issue often happens when cached data, cookies, or browser settings in Microsoft Edge block secure login components on banking websites. Corrupted cache or misconfigured settings can prevent websites from completing authentication even though the same sites work normally in other browsers.

A reliable way to fix this is to clear Edge’s browsing data including cookies and cached files and then try again. Banking sites are especially sensitive to outdated or corrupted browser data, so deleting this often restores proper functionality. If that doesn’t help, launching Edge in InPrivate mode or temporarily disabling any extensions can allow the site to load correctly, since private mode disables caching and most add‑ons.

If the issue continues, resetting Edge to its default settings is another proven fix. This refreshes the browser without removing your favorites and can resolve security or compatibility issues affecting login processes.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
