Opening and reading PDF files in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Since the recent update on February 5th (Version 144.0.3719.115), the "Read Aloud" feature has been stuttering and lagging. I initially noticed this with Thai natural voices, but I have also tested this with other languages, and the issue persists there as well. The audio frequently pauses between words, making it unusable. This happens on both web pages and PDFs. Please investigate this engine-related bug.

Hello,
Unfortunately, I’m unable to reproduce this issue on the same version of Edge on my side.
This is usually related to the network. If the connection is unstable, it can cause delays or stuttering during the read-aloud.
So I recommend switching to a different network first, such as connecting to your phone’s hotspot, and then trying the read-aloud again to see if it runs smoothly.
It appears that the stuttering and lagging issues with the "Read Aloud" feature in Microsoft Edge after the February 5th update may be related to a bug in the engine. Users have reported similar problems with various languages, including Thai, where the audio pauses frequently between words. Unfortunately, there are no specific solutions or fixes mentioned in the provided context regarding this issue. It may be beneficial to report this feedback through the appropriate channels to ensure it is addressed in future updates.
