Clipchamp won't let me export to local drive

clipchamp issue

I'm having issues exporting a video or audio file from Clipchamp to my local drive as a .mp4/.mp3. It says "Your video will be saved to the cloud with your project. That way, it stays safe and matches your project's sensitivity". The project is set to Public, though? I was able to download things just find before, seems like something changed over the weekend. Now it won't let me export as anything but the native clipchamp file.

There have been recent changes on Microsoft Clipchamp. You can check them here : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/clipchamp-cloud-storage-frequently-asked-questions-8f01a0f2-db15-46b0-bf4f-9b8832a4a68b

Now, Clipchamp automatically saves your work in OneDrive, and renders are also made here. You can proceed with the render : at the end of the process, you'll have the option to save it on your computer, and have it locally, like before.
OneDrive files are private, unless you decide to share them.

Whilst this is an inmprovement, it should be a local application and never need or go to the cloud.
Microsofts implementation of online storage is bad and their push to beg you to use their services that you dont want are worse.
With defaults to store to onedrive on everything it means you ahev to be on the ball everytime you save something, otherwise it gets dumped into OneDrive along with all the other accidental saves and becomes an absolute mess!

I think they should spend their time, if they want us to use online applcoation, they need to make them mirror the desktop applications in function as they are curently a bit of a nonfuctional mess comparitively speaking and also to stop all this bubbly nonsense that wastes so much space and reduces data density.

All these things would not be so bad if they were "Options" but Microsoft are trying to take away your choice and to push you into using an inferioir setup because it is more profitable for them, but in the process alienating their "Customers".

And as for their AI push... lets not get started on how short sighted that all is and the reduction in factual content and reliable programs..... its all a bit of a mess at the minute and unfortunately every where you turn there is someone making things worse which leads to ever little agrivation adding to the bigger agrivation, turning a little thing thike this bad implementation into a much bigger issue.

When I go to try and download the file from my OneDrive, it only downloads as a .clipchamp file, and not as a .mp3 or .mp4. It seems there is no option to export as either format anymore.

The final export file is available in OneDrive, where you saved your video files.
You should have an "Exports" folder : it should be here !
