    Dear @HUZAIFA SHABBIR,

    I hope you’re having a good day.

Thank you for reaching out and for explaining your situation.

To help clarify and narrow down the issue, here are a few steps you can try:

First, please check your internet connection and make sure your computer has a stable and reliable connection, as a weak or unstable network can sometimes prevent certain sections in Teams (such as Assignments) from loading correctly.
Refresh the page (F5 or Ctrl + R) or try logging out and logging back in.

Since you mentioned that you are using Microsoft Teams on the web, clearing your browser’s cache and cookies can often help resolve display or loading issues (for Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete > Clear). This is a useful step in many cases where Teams features do not open as expected. After clearing the cache, please sign in again and try accessing the Assignments section.

You may also want to try opening Teams using a different supported browser (such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome), or test on another computer if one is available. This can help determine whether the issue is specific to your current browser or device.

In some situations, simply restarting your computer can also help clear temporary issues and refresh system processes, so that is worth trying as well.

If the Assignments section still does not open after trying the steps above, please let me know. Additionally, because Microsoft Teams for Education is managed by your university, I strongly recommend contacting your school’s IT administrator or help desk. They can verify your account settings, role (student), and ensure there are no restrictions or configuration issues on your school’s Teams environment.

If you’re unsure who your administrator is, this article may help: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?

Thank you for your patience, and I appreciate you taking the time to report this issue. I look forward to your update and will be happy to assist further if needed.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

    Warm regards,

On the mobile device, assignments are supported directly in the Microsoft Teams for Education app, which is why the Assignments section opens and works there.

On the other device (for example, desktop app or web), this behavior usually means either:

    • Teams for Education is not working correctly on that device, or
    • The app needs to be updated/restarted/reinstalled.

Try these steps on the device where Assignments will not open:

    1. Restart Teams
      • If using the desktop or mobile app, fully close Teams and reopen it.
      • If using the web version, reload the page.
    2. Try another platform
      • If using the desktop app, go to https://teams.microsoft.com in a browser and sign in with the same university account, then check the Assignments section there.
      • If using the browser already, try a different browser.
    3. Update or reinstall Teams
      • In the desktop app, select More options > Check for updates.
      • If that does not help, uninstall Teams from that device and then reinstall it.
    4. Check with the university IT admin
      • In many schools, Teams for Education permissions and policies are controlled by IT.
      • Ask the university IT/helpdesk to verify that the account has the correct Teams for Education permissions and that there are no policy blocks affecting Assignments on that device.

On mobile, to access assignments reliably:

    • Tap Assignments in the app bar.
    • If Assignments is not visible, select More … > Reorder and add Assignments to the app bar.
