Swiftkey prediction bar on Android randomly doesn't show

On Android, Microsoft SwiftKey’s prediction bar cannot be turned off or hidden by configuration, so when it disappears intermittently it is usually due to:

1. The field or app not allowing predictions
   • SwiftKey deliberately does not show predictions in certain text fields (for example, password fields) or in apps whose code conflicts with SwiftKey’s prediction system. In those cases the prediction bar will vanish only in those fields/apps and then reappear elsewhere.
2. SwiftKey not being the active/default keyboard
   • Ensure SwiftKey is set as the default keyboard:
     1. Open device Settings.
     2. Go to Language & input (name may vary by device).
     3. Confirm Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard is enabled and selected as the default.
   • In any text field, tap the keyboard icon in the notification bar and explicitly choose Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard.
3. Prediction data or language pack issues
   • If predictions appear missing or inconsistent, check that your language data is intact and synced:
     1. Open the Microsoft SwiftKey app.
     2. Tap Account → Backup & Sync.
     3. Confirm Backup & Sync is enabled and has synced recently; if not, toggle it off/on to force a sync.
   • Ensure language packs are downloaded over a strong Wi‑Fi connection and that there is enough storage space.
4. Corrupted SwiftKey data
   • If the above checks do not help and the bar still randomly disappears, reset SwiftKey’s local data and reinstall:
     1. Open Microsoft SwiftKey → Account → tap Log out at the bottom.
     2. On the phone, go to Settings → Apps → Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard.
     3. Tap Storage → Clear data (this deletes local status, settings, clipboard items, and photo themes).
     4. Restart the phone.
     5. Uninstall Microsoft SwiftKey.
     6. Reinstall it from Google Play and sign back into the SwiftKey account to restore predictions.

If the prediction bar is missing only in specific apps or fields after these steps, that behavior is expected where predictions are intentionally disabled or incompatible.
