Hi @Karl S,
I hope you’re having a great day. I appreciate your patience and the details you provided.
A - What's happening
Although this calendar has its own email address, it is backed by the Microsoft 365 Group associated with the Team rather than a traditional shared mailbox. As a result, it may not appear as a standalone calendar in Outlook or be available through the standard “Add calendar” options, since visibility of Group calendars depends on how they are exposed to Outlook in your organization.
B - Recommended checks
If applicable, you can follow the steps below to check whether the underlying Microsoft 365 Group calendar is visible in Outlook. In some environments, Outlook may show a “Groups” section where the Team or Group is listed, and the Group’s calendar can be opened from there.
You can try the steps below:
For Outlook on the web or New Outlook
Please go to Outlook on the web: https://outlook.office.com
Open Calendar
In the left pane, look for Groups

Select the Team/Group name
Open the Group’s Calendar
If you (or others) can see the Group, the calendar should be visible there.
For Classic Outlook
Open Outlook
Go to Calendar
Look in the left pane for Groups (or a section similar to “All Group Calendar”)

Expand the Group/Team name > select the Calendar
C - How to let others view it in Outlook
Other users need to be members of the same Team or Microsoft 365 Group to have access to the shared calendar resources. Even with membership, visibility in Outlook depends on tenant and client behavior. If the Group calendar is not visible in Outlook, members can still access the calendar directly within Microsoft Teams.
Note: Because this is typically a Group/Teams calendar, it usually won’t appear as a “shared calendar” you can add by searching an email address in the “Add calendar” flow. Membership in the Group is the main mechanism for access.
Additionally, if you need a calendar that behaves like a traditional shared calendar, the best approach is usually one of these:
Shared mailbox calendar (recommended for shared scheduling scenarios)
A dedicated resource mailbox (room/equipment style, if appropriate)
A user-owned calendar that is shared with permissions to a defined set of people
