David, glad to hear that you solved your problem.
How to wake my Lenovo Yoga Slim 7
Recently the behavior of my Yoga Slim 7 machine (which is running Windows 11) when it goes to sleep has changed. I cannot wake the machine by pressing the power button, instead I must hold it for 8-10 seconds and force a hard reboot. I've tried various suggested fixes, such as turning off fast restart. What else can I do?

2026-04-10T07:12:10.71+00:00 Hi David Lopez,
Thank you for reaching out.
Based on the behaviour described, this may be related to how the system manages its low‑power sleep state and how certain hardware components or drivers respond when the device attempts to resume from Sleep. This can sometimes occur after recent updates or driver changes that affect power state transitions.
To help improve wake‑from‑sleep reliability, please try the troubleshooting steps below:
1, Allow Wake from Power Button Device
- Open Device Manager
- Expand Human Interface Devices
- Locate Power Button
- Right‑click > Properties > Power Management
- Ensure "Allow this device to wake the computer" is checked
- Repeat similar steps for any Intel Serial IO GPIO Host Controller entries under System Devices
2, Disable Network Activity During Sleep
- Open PowerShell as Administrator and run:
powercfg /setdcvalueindex scheme_current sub_sleep allowstandbynetworking 0 powercfg /setacvalueindex scheme_current sub_sleep allowstandbynetworking 0 powercfg /setactive scheme_currentIf the issue began after a recent driver update, you may also check:
- Settings > Windows Update > Update History > Driver Updates
- Use Lenovo Vantage to check for any updates

2026-04-08T21:05:17.9533333+00:00 Hi,
please check for BIOS updates.
Reinstall ALL drivers from Lenovo support site.
Check if the problem exists during clean boot and in the safe mode.
Tell the result.
