    Hi Keith Stewart,

I understand that you want to change the mouse cursor to black. Since the steps are slightly different between Windows versions, please follow the one that applies to you:

    If you’re on Windows 11:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accessibility” > “Mouse pointer and touch”
    3. Under “Mouse pointer style”, select “Black”
    4. (Optional) Use “Size” to make the pointer larger and easier to spot

    If you’re on Windows 10:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Ease of Access” > “Mouse pointer”
    3. Under “Change pointer color”, select “Black”
    4. Adjust “Change pointer size” if needed

To make the mouse pointer black and easier to see in Windows 10 or Windows 11:

    1. Open Accessibility settings:
      • Press Windows logo key + U, or
      • Select Start > Settings > Accessibility.
    2. Select Mouse pointer and touch.
    3. Under Mouse pointer:
      • Use the Size slider to make the pointer larger.
      • Under Mouse pointer style, choose the black style (or select Custom and pick a dark color under Choose another color if desired).

This will change the pointer color (and also the text cursor color) so it is easier to find on the screen.

    1

If you have Windows 10 installed on your PC:

Open the Settings App, go to Ease of Access - Mouse pointer.

That is where that setting is.

    2

If you have Windows 11 installed on your PC:

Open the Settings App, go to Accessibility - Mouse Pointer & Touch

That is where that setting is.
