I apparently have two MS subscriptions. I need Teams in my Outlook which is under a different profile for some reason.

    Hi Dan Ashe,

Good day, and thank you for providing such a clear description of the issue.

I understand how inconvenience it can be to run into syncing problems between Teams and Outlook. To better identify the cause, could you please share the following information with me via private message?

    1. Which Microsoft 365 subscriptions you're having via GoDaddy and via your gmail?
    2. Can you provide the email address that associated which each subscription?
    3. What error and issue you have encountered when setting up video meetings?

These details will help determine whether the issue is related to account type, licensing, identity conflict, or device‑level authentication, and will allow me to guide you to the correct resolution path as quickly as possible. Any screenshots are greatly appreciated as it helps visualize the issue easier.

Furthermore, to ensure we resolve this securely, I have initiated a private message for your convenience and left a note there. At your earliest availability, please review that message so I can assist you more affectively.

Teams integration in Outlook depends on both the type of Teams account and which profile/subscription Outlook is using.

    Key points from the context:

    1. The classic Teams Meeting add‑in for Outlook Desktop only works with Microsoft 365 Exchange–based work or school accounts, not Outlook.com or personal/small‑business Teams accounts.
    2. In the new Outlook, the Teams meeting option is built in as a Teams meeting toggle, not a separate add‑in. To see it, both Outlook and Teams must be signed in with the same work or school account, and the new Teams client must be used.
    3. Teams for home or small business that uses an Outlook.com account cannot use the Outlook Desktop Teams add‑in; meetings must be created from the Teams web or desktop app instead, and they will sync to the Outlook calendar.
    4. Subscriptions and accounts cannot be merged; at most, subscriptions can be managed separately and sign‑in aliases can be adjusted, but data and purchases from one Microsoft account do not move to another.

To get Teams in Outlook when there are two subscriptions/accounts involved, follow this logic based on the context:

    1. Determine which account is the work or school Microsoft 365 account with Exchange mail (this is the one that can integrate Teams into Outlook Desktop/new Outlook).
    2. Sign in to both Outlook and Teams with that same work or school account:
      • In new Outlook: ensure the profile using the work/school mailbox is the one in use.
      • In Teams: sign in with the same work/school account and use the new Teams client.
    3. Close Outlook, quit Teams, then start Teams first and sign in, then start Outlook again to re‑initiate the integration if the Teams meeting toggle is missing.
    4. If the other subscription is a personal Outlook.com or consumer Microsoft 365 subscription, keep using that for personal mail, but do not expect the work/school Teams add‑in to appear when that personal profile is active in Outlook Desktop.
    5. If Teams is needed with an Outlook.com personal account, use Teams for home or small business via https://teams.live.com or its desktop app to create meetings; those meetings will sync to the Outlook.com calendar that can be viewed in Outlook.

Because accounts and subscriptions cannot be merged, the practical approach is:

    • Use the work/school account (with Exchange) for Outlook–Teams integration.
    • Use the personal subscription separately, understanding that its Teams usage is via Teams for home/small business and not the Outlook Desktop add‑in.
