Profiles that share the same phone number cannot be merged directly in Microsoft Teams or Microsoft account.

If the phone number is already associated with another Microsoft account, the number must first be removed from that account and then added to the account that should keep it:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft account that currently has the phone number at the username management page.
    2. Select Remove next to that phone number.
      • The phone number can only be removed if there is another username on that account.
      • It is recommended to have at least two additional forms of contact on the account before removing the phone number.
    3. Sign out.
    4. Sign in to the Microsoft account that should use this phone number.
    5. Select Add phone number and add the same number to this account.

This process transfers the phone number between accounts but does not merge the profiles or their data. Data, purchases, and history from separate Microsoft accounts cannot be combined; only the phone number (or alias) can be moved.
