microsoft edge is running in the background and using all my memory, so when i do stuff it crashes my computer

    Hello,

    Turn off Startup Boost and background extensions

    Open Edge → Settings → System and performance

    Turn off:

    Startup boost

    Continue running background extensions and apps when Edge is closed
