Hello Pramod, it sounds like the “your credit is already redeemed” message means Microsoft has applied your YC credits as an Azure Sponsorship subscription but you won’t see them in your normal Pay-As-You-Go billing. Here’s how to surface and use them:
- Sign in with the exact Microsoft Account (MSA) you used to redeem your YC code
- The Azure startup offer only works on a new Azure account tied to a personal MSA (not a work/school AAD account).
- Look for your Azure Sponsorship subscription
- In the Azure portal go to Subscriptions.
- You should see a subscription named something like “Startup Sponsorship” or “Azure Sponsorship.”
- Check your credit balance under that subscription
- Select the sponsorship subscription > Cost Management + Billing > Credits (or Usage + charges) to view remaining balance.
- Confirm you had no prior Azure subscriptions
- If you already had any Pay-As-You-Go or other subscriptions under that MSA, the startup offer can’t attach itself.
- If you’re past the initial phase and expecting more than the first tranche of credits
- Make sure you’ve completed business verification within 90 days of initial redemption to unlock additional credits.
- Still not seeing anything? Open a billing support ticket
- Azure billing support can confirm whether your sponsorship subscription was successfully provisioned or if there was an eligibility hiccup.
To help us drill in further, can you share:
- Which email/MSA you used to redeem your YC code?
- Do you see any “Azure Sponsorship” entry under Subscriptions?
- Any existing subscriptions under that same account?
- A screenshot of the redemption confirmation you received?
