The site encourages including:

• The service/technology involved (for example, Azure Web Apps, Word, Windows).
• The scenario: what is being done and what the goal is.
• The result: what actually happened, including errors or screenshots.
• The environment: OS, app version, network details if relevant.
• Troubleshooting already tried.
• Repro steps or minimal code samples for developer questions.

Without this information, experts often have to ask several follow-up questions before they can help, which slows everything down. The guidance and extra fields are there to:

• Reduce back-and-forth.
• Avoid misunderstandings.
• Help others with the same problem find a clear, complete solution later.

To keep it as simple as possible while still getting good help:

1. Start with a short, specific title that summarizes the problem.
2. In the body, add three sections:
   • “What I’m trying to do”
   • “What happens instead (errors, behavior)”
   • “Details: product, version, OS, anything special about the setup”
3. Ask only one main question per post and pick the closest tag.

This meets the Q&A guidelines but keeps the writing effort focused on just the information needed to get a useful answer.
