Hi @Musaib Bhat
We understand your concern regarding the e-mandate and possible charges. Please be assured of the following:
- The e-mandate (or trial authorization hold) is only a payment-method verification step. Azure may place a temporary authorization hold (typically $1 or an equivalent amount) to confirm that your card or bank account is valid. This is not an actual charge it is only a temporary amount reserved by your bank and will be released automatically.
- Based on your description, you were shown that you are not eligible for the free trial, and the Pay-As-You-Go subscription was also not successfully activated.
- Since no active subscription was created, there are currently no services being billed to your account.
Therefore, no money will be debited from your account at this stage.
Charges would only apply if:
- A valid subscription (such as Pay-As-You-Go) is successfully created, and
- You actively use billable Azure services.
You may also do:
- Check your Azure portal under Subscriptions to confirm there is no active subscription, or
- Contact your bank to review or cancel the e-mandate if you do not intend to use it.
