why my PP always runs an error?

Hi!

Do apps like Word or Excel also experience this problem?

When I open my PowerPoint slide, a notification appears saying there's an error running...

Does the problem only occur when you enter slide mode? Does this happen with all your PowerPoint presentations, or only one in particular?

Does the problem also occur when you open a presentation outside of slide mode?

Did the problem occur after a Windows or Office update, or the installation of any program or game?

While I await your responses, please check if the problem occurs after a Clean Boot.

1. Press CTRL + R > Type ''msconfig'' (without quotes) > Click on the ''Services'' tab.
2. Check the ''Hide all Microsoft services'' option > Click on ''Disable All'' > ''OK''.

WARNING: Re-enable these services after the tests are complete, otherwise some programs will not work.

3. Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to open the Task Manager > Click on the "Startup" tab > Disable all programs (Right-click on the program > Disable).
4. Restart the computer > See if the problem reappears.
5. If the problem is resolved, it means that a third-party program or service is causing the problem.

NOTE: This procedure is not a solution, just a test. It disables all third-party services and programs. If the problem is solved later, enable the programs and services that will start with Windows again.

• Remember, some programs and services may not work properly.

Run a full Office repair instead of using the in-app “Repair now” option, and then check for other common causes.

1. Close PowerPoint and all other Office apps.
2. Open Control Panel → Programs and Features.
3. Find the Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 entry, right-click it, choose Change.
4. Select Repair (preferably the full/online repair option if available) and complete the process.
5. After repair finishes, restart the device and try opening the PowerPoint file again.

If PowerPoint still shows errors or crashes:

1. Make sure antivirus software is up to date.
2. If the antivirus has Office/PowerPoint integration or add-ins, temporarily disable that integration or those add-ins and test again. (Be aware this can reduce protection; re-enable after testing.)
3. If the issue happens only with one file and the error says the file can’t be read or opened, unblock the file:
   • Open File Explorer, right-click the .pptx file → Properties.
   • If there is an Unblock checkbox/button, select it, click Apply, then OK.
   • Right-click the file and choose Open.

If none of these steps resolve the problem, contact Microsoft support for further troubleshooting.
