Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
Hi @Ramneek Jain,
Thank you for explaining the situation. I understand the context and the urgency behind your request. However, I’m sorry to share that if the organization did not initially configure any third‑party solution for compliance (policy-based) recording, then Microsoft Teams itself cannot retroactively provide a recording.
By design, Teams uses a convenience recording model. A recording file is created only when a meeting participant explicitly starts recording, at which point the file is saved to OneDrive or SharePoint. If the Record button was never clicked during the meeting, there is unfortunately no recording generated and therefore no file that Microsoft can retrieve afterward.

I understand this can be disappointing. However, as this is a user‑to‑user support forum, I don’t have the ability to intervene in or modify the product design or its features. I can only help confirm and clarify how the functionality currently works.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
