My mouse seems to have a sound attach every time I need to use it. It is extremely annoying for me & others in the office, how can it be fixed. I need it to stop.

A mouse should not make any sound in Windows, what type of sound are you hearing from your mouse, and is the sound comping directly from the mouse itself like a clicking noise when you click on your mouse, or is the sound coming from the speakers on your PC and if so, does the mouse freeze up and is there a beeping sound coming from the speakers.

If the sound is coming from Microsoft Office apps (for example, every time clicking or using the mouse inside Outlook, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint), turn off Office sound effects:

1. Open any Office app (such as Outlook or Word).
2. Select File > Options.
3. Go to the Accessibility or Ease of Access tab.
4. Under Feedback Options, clear the Provide feedback with sound checkbox.
5. Select OK.

This setting affects all Microsoft 365 programs that support it and will stop those mouse-related Office sounds.

If the sound is specifically for new mail or reminders in Outlook, adjust those separately:

1. In Outlook, select File > Options.
2. Select Mail.
3. Under Message Arrival, clear Play a sound.
4. Select Advanced.
5. Under Reminders, clear Play reminders sound if needed.
6. Select OK.
