    Hi everyone,

    Thank you for the updates.

Based on my checks, there are currently no official reports of this issue, although it is also occurring for several other users. Therefore, this scenario requires deeper investigation by the Microsoft engineering team.

To proceed, you can report this issue through the Microsoft Admin Center so that Microsoft Support Engineering can investigate it further.

    User's image

In the Microsoft Admin Center, you will need to ask the Global Administrator of your tenant (IT Admin) to submit the report on your behalf.

Once multiple users report the same issue, Microsoft will begin investigating it and will notify customers with updates accordingly.

Besides, I will continue to check it, and if there are any updates, I will inform everyone here.

    Kind Regards,

We've identified a recent code change that has resulted in impact and preventing users from utilizing the AI Custom meeting summary feature within Microsoft Teams. We've internally developed and validated a code change to address the problems and to remediate the impact. We're expecting an updated timeline for the deployment of our fix to be available to share by our next scheduled communication update.

Whoops , I forgot. Not everyone has access to the Admin portal and as Admins we are sworn to secrecy to keep Microsoft failures a secret. Drat. I will probably lose my admin license now :-)

The custom summary option in Teams depends on two main things: the Recap experience in the meeting chat and the availability of AI summaries for that meeting.

To check and restore it, follow these steps:

    1. Open the specific meeting’s chat in Teams (not the calendar entry).
    2. At the top of the meeting chat, select Recap.
    3. In Recap, look for Custom summary.
      • If it is visible, select it and then choose or create a template.
      • If it is missing for that meeting only, verify that the meeting had transcription enabled (AI summaries are only available for meetings that were transcribed). If transcription was not turned on, custom summaries will not be available for that meeting.
    4. If Recap itself or Custom summary is missing for all meetings, contact the organization’s Teams/IT admin to confirm that:
      • Copilot and recap features are still allowed for the account.
      • No new meeting policies or app restrictions have been applied that would hide or block recap or Copilot features.

Once transcription is enabled and recap is available, the Custom summary option should appear again for new meetings.

    Hello @Hashaam Khalid

From what you described, you have a Copilot Pro subscription and, until recently, you were able to see and use the Custom Summary option after your Microsoft Teams meetings. As of today, that option has suddenly disappeared, and you’re no longer able to access it.

I have checked my old meeting call and I want to confirm if you have record the meeting and have the meeting recap?

    User's image

If yes, might I confirm if the AI summary that you are mentioning is this below button (red)?

    User's image

If this is not match what you want to describe, please share me the screenshot at your end so I will try to address the issue for you better.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
