How do I activate my bluetooth on my computer? I'm having trouble connecting my phone.

Hello

If your computer is equipped with bluetooth adapter, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and toggle the switch to "On".

If you don't see this bluetooth toggle at all,

Can you share with me two screenshots please?

1. Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters, I would like to see what's listed.
2. Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up.

To activate Bluetooth in Windows 10 and connect a phone, follow these steps in order:

1. Make sure Bluetooth hardware is enabled

• If the desktop has a physical Bluetooth switch or key (on the case or keyboard), set it to On.

2. Turn on Bluetooth from Settings
3. Select Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
4. Under Bluetooth, make sure the toggle is switched On.
   • When Bluetooth is on, Windows shows a message like: "Now discoverable as <computer_name>".
5. Turn on Bluetooth from the taskbar (optional)
6. On the taskbar, select action center (icon next to the time and date).
7. If needed, select Expand to see all tiles.
8. Select the Bluetooth tile to turn it On.
   • If it’s off, the tile is not highlighted and may say Off.
   • If it’s on, the tile is highlighted and may say Connected or Not connected.
9. Put the phone in Bluetooth pairing mode

• On the phone, turn on Bluetooth and open its Bluetooth settings so it is discoverable.

5. Pair the phone from the PC
6. On the PC, in Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, select Add Bluetooth or other device.
7. Choose Bluetooth.
8. Select the phone from the list and complete the pairing prompts on both devices.

If Bluetooth still does not appear in Settings or action center, the desktop may not have Bluetooth hardware or the driver may be missing.
