    Hi Muhammad Fayyaz

I understand how useful the Sidebar app feature was for quick access to your favorite apps and sites, and I can see why this change would be frustrating.

Based on the current Microsoft support article, the Sidebar app list is being retired gradually in Microsoft Edge, starting with Microsoft account users. At this time, new apps can no longer be added to the Sidebar app list, and apps that are already pinned there will be removed in a future update. The side pane and Copilot are not affected by this change. There is no confirmed final retirement date yet.

You can view the official Microsoft article here: Streamline access to your favorite sites and apps with Sidebar in Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Support

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. If you would like the Edge team to review your request, I recommend submitting feedback directly from Microsoft Edge:

    • Open Microsoft Edge
    • Select Settings and more (...) in the top-right corner
    • Choose Send feedback
    • Describe that you would like the ability to add apps to the Sidebar and keep them pinned
    • Submit the feedback to the Edge team

You may submit the same suggestion through Feedback Hub in Windows as well:

    • Open Feedback Hub from the Start menu or press Windows key + F
    • Search for similar feedback first
    • If you find a similar suggestion, you can upvote it
    • If not, select Suggest a feature
    • Enter the details of your request and submit it

Feedback Hub supports attaching screenshots or recording the experience if needed. It recommends searching for similar feedback first so you can upvote an existing suggestion or add a new one if needed.

Your feedback is valuable, especially for feature requests like this, and submitting it through these channels gives the product team visibility into how important this experience is for users.

I hope the steps above help you submit your suggestion successfully. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Adding new apps to the Edge sidebar (App Tower) is no longer supported. The sidebar app list is being retired, starting with Microsoft account users, and pinned apps will be removed in a future update. Copilot and the side pane are not affected and will remain available.

Feedback about keeping or bringing back sidebar app pinning needs to go directly to the Microsoft Edge team. Use the in-browser feedback channel (Settings and more ... → Help and feedback → Send feedback) so it reaches the product group that owns this feature.
