After the latest Teams update, none of my bluetooth headsets have sound in Teams.

How can I fix this very annoying issue?

I have already tried:

I have unpaired my devices and paired again, no success.

I have installed my audio and bluetooth drivers, no success.

  1. When you navigate to Microsoft Teams > Settings > Devices, is your Bluetooth headset selected for both Speaker and Microphone? Yes
  2. In Windows Sound Settings, does the headset appear under Input devices, and do you see any input level activity when speaking? Yes
    1. Have there been any recent updates to Windows 11 or Microsoft Teams prior to the issue occurring? I think so. After an update, all devices stop working
  3. Does the microphone function correctly when using the Teams Web application (for example, in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome)? No, also not working when using teams web application.
  4. Reset Bluetooth Connection (LE Enumerator), no success.
  5. Verify Microphone Permissions, done, no success
  6. Clear Teams Cache or Reinstall the Application, done, no success.(tried Reset and Repair)

I have identified the issue: Lenovo Wireless Stereo Headset is an LE‑Audio‑only device on Windows.

The headset does NOT support classic Bluetooth audio on your PC. It only exposes Bluetooth LE Audio, which Microsoft Teams does not currently support correctly on Windows

    Hi @Neda, Nicoleta,

Thank you for taking the time to investigate and share your findings.

Based on what you identified, the Lenovo Wireless Stereo Headset is an LE‑Audio–only device on Windows and does not support classic Bluetooth audio profiles. At this time, Microsoft Teams on Windows does not consistently work with LE‑only audio devices, which explains the behavior you’re seeing.

I’ve accepted your answer so when others searching for this issue can quickly understand why their Lenovo Wireless Stereo Headset may not work as expected in Teams and avoid unnecessary troubleshooting.

I appreciate you for taking the time to identify and share the root cause; it will be helpful for others facing the same issue in the future.

    Hi @Neda, Nicoleta,

Regarding your issue, the Bluetooth headset is pairing correctly, but audio is not being routed properly when apps switch to call/communication mode. This is commonly related to Windows Bluetooth audio handling rather than a Teams‑only setting.

Here are a few steps you can try:

    1. Turn off Audio Enhancements
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices
    • Click on the Lenovo Wireless Stereo Headset
    • Go to Audio > Advanced sound properties
    • Under Advanced settings, find Audio enhancements
    • Change it to "Off" or "Device Default Effects"
    • Restart Teams and test
    1. Uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth adapter driver
    • Open Device Manager (right-click Start > Device Manager)
    • Expand Bluetooth
    • Right-click the Bluetooth adapter (e.g., Intel Wireless Bluetooth or similar)
    • Select Uninstall device
    • Restart the PC (Windows should auto-reinstall the adapter driver)
    • Re-pair the headset and test in Teams

For more details, please refer to: Update Bluetooth drivers in Windows

I hope this helps resolve the issue, and if you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
