From my research, in a Microsoft Teams webinar, organizers and presenters can control exactly what attendees see using the “Manage what attendees see” feature. When this feature is enabled, attendees will only see the active presenter or any content that the organizer chooses to bring on screen, instead of seeing all participants.

The reason you do not see the Engagement or related advanced webinar options is most likely because a Teams Premium license is not assigned to your account. Teams Premium is an add‑on license that enhances the existing Teams experience, it does not replace a standard Teams license. To use this feature, you must have:

• A valid Teams base license, and
• A Teams Premium add‑on assigned on top of it.

Yes. In a Teams webinar, organizers and presenters can control exactly what attendees see so that only the speaker (or shared content) is visible, not other attendees.

Use the Manage what attendees see feature:

1. When scheduling the webinar, open Meeting options.
2. In Engagement, turn on Manage what attendees see.
   • When this is on, attendees do not have access to their mics and cameras, and their audio/video permissions are locked.
3. During the webinar, use the Manage screen pane:
   • To show a presenter full-screen to attendees, bring that presenter on screen:
     1. In Manage screen, find the presenter.
     2. Turn on Bring participant on screen over their video/profile.
   • Only the people and content that are brought on screen appear in the main webinar view for attendees.

This setup allows the speaker’s video (and/or shared content) to take over the visible screen for attendees, keeping other attendees from being shown to the classroom.

Note: Managing attendee view in webinars requires Teams Premium.
