Step 1:
- Go to Device Manager and expand the arrow next to cameras.
- Right-click your integrated Webcam driver, select Disable device.
(Doing this will disable the laptop's internal camera.)
Step 2:
- Plug in the USB camera you have.
- Open the Device Manager and expand the arrow next to cameras.
- Check whether your external USB camera is detected.
(Example)
- If it is detected, open the Windows Camera app on your device and check whether the camera is working.
- If the drivers are not detected, plug the external camera into a different USB port and see if it works.
So, when you rotate the external camera, you should see the image move on the screen, which tells you that the external USB camera is working.
