I'm using my oppo find x9 pro with the latest ColorOS16

Teams app from the playstore that is also up to date.Heres the scenario:

1- start meeting, attendants join.

2- welcome everyone, and everyone hears me.

3- use the share screen option, single app (the Video app), tick with audio setting, share.

4- attendants see the video but don't hear it's audio. They do hear me talking over the video though, but they don't hear the video audio.

I tried turning up the Video app's own volume control all the way up, and same thing for every volume control setting on my phone like media sound, ringtone, system etc... but with no avail.

I tried sharing my entire screen, and that not only didn't fix the audio problem. Attendants don't even see anything shared as well..

    Hello A.B,

It seems that you are experiencing an issue where meeting participants cannot hear the audio from the shared screen content during a Teams meeting.

To better understand the issue, could you please confirm the following:

    • Does this happen in all meetings and every time you share your screen?
    • Does the issue also occur when using Teams on the web browser?
    • Does the issue occur if you try using another device (for example, another mobile phone or a Windows PC)?

In the meantime, you may try the troubleshooting steps below; some steps might differ because I do not have the same test device as you:

    1/ Verify Teams Permissions

    • Go to: Settings > Apps > Teams > Permissions
    • Make sure the following permissions are allowed:

Microphone Notifications Music and audio Photos and videos Display over other apps (if available) Screen recording / capture permissions

2/ Disable Battery Optimization for Teams

    • Go to: Settings > Battery > App battery management > Teams
    • Set the following options:
      • Allow background activity No restrictions / Don’t optimize
      • Please also apply the same settings to the Video app you are sharing.

3/ Remove and re-add your account

    • Please clear the app cache first by going to Settings > Apps> Select Microsoft Teams> Storage & cache > Clear cache
    • Then go to Settings> Accounts> Remove work/school account> reboot phone > reinstall Microsoft Teams > Sign in again.

4/ Test With Another Media App

Please try sharing audio from another app, such as YouTube, and check whether participants can hear the audio.

5/ Test with Another Meeting Platform

Please check whether the same issue occurs when using screen sharing with audio in other meeting platforms such as Google Meet or Zoom.

I hope this information helps. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to let me know.

On mobile, Teams supports sharing device audio only when screen sharing is started with the specific “share screen with audio” option and the OS allows system audio capture. The documented behavior is:

    • On mobile devices, to include audio, the flow is:
      1. Tap Share.
      2. Tap Share screen > Share screen with audio.
      3. Tap Start Broadcast. Everyone in the meeting should then hear the audio from the device.

If attendees see the video but do not hear its audio while still hearing the microphone, it indicates that only microphone audio is being sent and the device/system audio is not being captured or passed through. The documentation does not provide additional troubleshooting steps beyond using Share screen with audio and confirming that the device meets the minimum OS requirement (Android 10 or later) for this feature.

Because the device and OS in this scenario are not covered in the provided material, no further supported remediation steps can be given from the available context.
