Regarding version of azure synapse analysis

Based on what you’ve shown, your Spark pool is already running on Apache Spark 3.5 (GA), which is the latest supported runtime. So from a Spark perspective, your workspace is already compliant and no upgrade is required for this pool.

That said, the email notification can still happen for a few common reasons:

1. Another Spark pool using an older or preview runtime
   Even if your current pool is on 3.5, there might be:
   • An older Spark pool (e.g., 3.3 / 3.4 / preview) still present in the workspace
     • Or a pool that is not actively used but still exists
   Microsoft sends upgrade notifications when any runtime in the workspace is nearing end-of-support or in preview, since preview runtimes have a short lifecycle and require migration to GA versions.
2. Notification targeting lifecycle changes (not just your active pool)
   Azure Synapse runtimes follow a lifecycle (Preview → GA → End of Support), and Microsoft may send emails ahead of deprecation timelines to ensure customers migrate workloads in time.
3. Other services in the same workspace
   The email may not be specific to Spark. Synapse workspaces can also include:
   • Dedicated SQL pools
     • Serverless SQL pools
   These services are updated separately, and notifications can be triggered independently due to maintenance or upgrade cycles.

To fully validate and close this:

• Check if there are any additional Spark pools in the workspace (including unused ones)
• Confirm that all pools are using a GA runtime (Spark 3.5)
• Review if the email mentions specific resources (pool name / SQL pool / region)
• If needed, you can safely ignore the alert for this pool, since your current configuration is already compliant

The email is most likely triggered by another resource or lifecycle notification, not this pool
