Why is the SHARE missing in EDGE since the update?

Thank you for posting your question here!

The reason why it is missing is that Microsoft moved the Share button. You can now find Share inside the three-dot menu, or it may be hidden if the Edge window is too narrow. In some cases, the update also turns it off in toolbar settings, but it can be re enabled anytime from Settings under Appearance.

It is also missing in the customize tool bar settings as well in appearance. It is gone... This is my own personal computer. it was a great option to have and now Microsoft apparently decided to disable it. WHY?

Upon checking and to share additional information, the reason it is completely gone, even from Customize Toolbar and Appearance, is that Microsoft intentionally removed the Share button from the Edge toolbar in recent updates. In short, Microsoft chose to retire the toolbar Share button rather than simply hide it, which is why it no longer appears anywhere in settings. This change was made to simplify the browser interface and consolidate sharing features into the main menu and Windows sharing options. It is not related to your computer, account, or permissions, and there is currently no supported way to restore the Share button to the toolbar.

The Share button in Microsoft Edge can be missing after an update for two main reasons shown in the context:

The feature was temporarily not available or not surfaced in early builds of the new Microsoft Edge. In those builds, editing the toolbar (including adding Share) was listed as a feature that was still being worked on and not yet available in the UI.
An organization policy can explicitly disable the Share experience. If the ConfigureShare policy is set to ShareDisallowed, Edge hides the Share experience and also hides the Share button from the toolbar.

If this is a work or school device, the Share button is likely being controlled by policy and only an administrator can re‑enable it by setting the ConfigureShare policy to ShareAllowed.

If this is a personal device and the button disappeared right after moving to a newer Edge build, it may be due to the feature set of that particular build, where toolbar customization (including Share) was not yet exposed.
