Just to confirm, are you trying to connect the printer from the Windows Settings? If yes, kindly download and install the HP Smart app:

Once done, open the app and connect the printer. If the printer is previously connected to your PC, kindly follow the steps below:
Remove the printer:
Click Start and open Settings.
Select Devices.
Click Printers & scanners on the left panel.
Find and select the printer you want to remove.
Click Remove device.
Select Yes to confirm.
Remove printer driver:
Press Windows + R, type control printers, then press Enter.
In the top menu, click Print server properties.
Go to the Drivers tab.
Select the printer driver you want to remove.
Click Remove > choose Remove driver and driver package, then click OK.
Re-add the printer
