Group calendar in Sharepoint stuck at "Getting events"

We have a MS365 group without Teams group. Recently we removed the original owner of this group, and this issue seemed to happen after that - stuck in infinite loop to get events on sharepoint site. Permissions are not changed and still can access the group emails/events in outlook with no issue. What could be the issue causing this? User's image

We have noticed that this group doesn't have a group link to Outlook now in intune.

    Hi, @Helen Luu

I’m experiencing exactly the same issue as Sheila. There is no Power Automate flow involved, no VPN—just a Group Calendar web part that was working perfectly fine until recently.

In edit mode, if I switch to a different calendar and then back to the original one, the events load correctly. However, once I save and exit edit mode, it goes back to showing “Getting events…” indefinitely.

I’ve also tested this across multiple browsers, including InPrivate/Incognito mode, with the same result.

    Please advise.

    Radim

    Hello @Sheila,

Based on the information you provided, it appears that you are currently unable to retrieve events from the SharePoint calendar.

May I confirm whether the calendar events are being retrieved by using my Power Automate flow? If so, this issue may be related to the flow ownership or permissions. As a troubleshooting step, you may try adding the original owner to the site and check whether the events can be retrieved successfully with no continuous loading state.

If the issue is related to ownership, you can request the original owner to transfer the ownership of the flow to you. For more information, please refer to the following article: Change the owner of a cloud flow in Power Automate - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn.

To help me provide better support, please help to share a full screenshot of the issue. Kindly ensure that any personal or sensitive information (such as usernames or site URLs) is hidden or blurred before sharing.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
