Hello, my school has blocked everything on my computer, such as google docs sharing and sharing anything powered by google, I have nothing to use for group projects, they've blocked edpuzzle (a video powered learning site for teachers to send videos to students with questions), and they've blocked any and all websites I previously used. How could I fix this or possibly be refunded a new computer?

Is that your own private personal PC you may have linked to a school account or is it provided by the school you attend?

    2

    Open the Settings App.

    Go to Accounts.

Select Access Work or School, is there a school account Email listed there?

School content filters, blocked sites, and restrictions on a school‑owned Windows laptop are controlled entirely by the school or district IT department, not by Windows or Microsoft.

There is no supported way in Windows settings to bypass or remove those restrictions without administrator rights. Tools like Lightspeed Filter Agent or similar are configured centrally; only the school’s IT admins have the credentials and authority to change what is blocked, remove the filter, or reimage/replace the device.

To change anything, these are the only options:

    1. Contact school IT or administration
      • Ask a teacher or the school IT helpdesk to review the blocked sites (Google Docs sharing, Edpuzzle, etc.) and request that they be added to the allowed list for academic use.
      • Provide specific URLs and explain they are required for group projects or assigned classwork.
    2. Ask about alternative tools or devices
      • If the school will not unblock Google services, ask what approved collaboration tools (for example, Microsoft 365 apps) are available instead.
      • If the device is malfunctioning or unusable for assigned work, request through the school’s official process that it be checked, reconfigured, or replaced. Only the school can decide on refunds or new hardware.

Microsoft cannot provide passwords, methods, or workarounds to remove or bypass school‑managed filters or policies on a school device.
