Unable to sync contacts using mobile device

Trying to sync my contacts into Teams and when the QR code comes up and I use my camera on my phone to open the app when I try to sign in it says, "Already signed in, try another account." I deleted Teams from my mobile app and reinstalled it thinking that the app might be signed in under the free version and not my subscription used on my Mac. That didn't work. Apparently there is no way to find out what account I'm using on the mobile app. Very frustrating. I may need to keep my Zoom subscription afterall.

    Hi Bob Allen,

With the QR contact-sync flow, the desktop and phone need to complete the setup under the same Teams Free sign-in.

Here’s the most reliable checklist to try:

    1. Use the official Teams Free contact-sync path
    • Desktop/Web: Settings > People > Sync contacts > Manage > From your mobile device (shows the QR code).
    • iPhone: Profile picture > Settings > People > turn Sync my device contacts On (allow Contacts access if prompted).
    1. If it keeps looping on iPhone, reset Teams app data and retry

Close Teams > iPhone Settings > Teams > enable Clear app data (wording may vary) > reopen Teams and try the QR again.

For reference: Sync your contacts in Microsoft Teams Free.

If you try the steps above and it still loops, reply with what you see under Teams > Settings > People on the iPhone and we’ll take it from there.
